CBD for Puppies – Is It Safe?

Hemp for Puppies – Is It Safe?

You can find CBD Pet Products all over the market these days. We know it has proven to be very beneficial for dogs, but is it safe for puppies?

Is CBD Right For My Puppy?

First, we need to keep in mind that puppies are babies. They are cute and cuddly, but often times rambunctious and sometimes display bad behaviors. These are not necessarily reasons to look at adding CBD to their diet. Most of the time, with early correction and some basic training, these behaviors can be stopped.

If you find that your puppy has a chronic problem that a Vet recommends regular medication for – this is when discussing CBD as a supplement with your Vet could be a good idea.

What Can CBD Do For My Puppy?

CBD has been shown to be beneficial for:

    • Enhancing bone and joint health.
    • Helping to maintain a normal inflammatory response.
    • Helping to maintain a normal and relaxed disposition.
    • Stress from traveling, hospitalization, moving or other situations that may cause anxiousness.
    • Helping to keep your pet calm and relaxed.

Our recommendation is that if your puppy is displaying behaviors or symptoms that cannot be remedied with the right training, behavioral therapy, or change in diet – discuss how CBD could be a good option with your Vet.

How Do I Find The Right CBD Product For My Puppy?

When looking for a CBD product to give to your puppy, you will want to make sure to find reputable companies that can provide you with current Certificates of Authenticity and complete lists of ingredients used in their products.

Oil vs. Water

Many of the CBD products on the market today are oil based; oils, tinctures, and oil based treats. Water Soluble Hemp is the newest kid on the block, and it’s no secret that we think it’s pretty great. You can read more about the science behind oil vs. water on our website.
